We are looking for a caregiver (preferably an older male) with intermediate German skills to assist a 62-year-old senior woman. The senior is mostly bedridden due to worsening multiple sclerosis but is fully mentally oriented. She uses a wheelchair and requires complete assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, and transfers. A ceiling lift is available, and the senior cooperates during transfers.

The job responsibilities include assisting with transfers from bed to wheelchair and to the toilet approximately every 2.5 hours, meal preparation, shopping, general household care, and assistance with daily activities. A caregiving service arrives in the morning for basic hygiene, and cleaning help is provided once a week. Nighttime assistance is needed 1–2 times for toilet transfers. A calm Yorkshire Terrier lives in the household. The caregiver has their own room with internet access, and free time is available by arrangement, whenever the senior does not require transfer assistance.

For the center in Gamshurst (Achern, Germany), we are looking for reinforcement for the position of Pflegefachkraft (m/f/d) for a permanent employment (full-time or part-time), starting by agreement. A caregiver is sought for a married couple aged 88 and 94, living in a bungalow in the city of Köln (ZIP code 51067). Both seniors require support with daily activities.

The lady (88 years, 60 kg, 167 cm) is mildly demented, occasionally forgetful, but moves independently at home with the help of a walker. She is incontinent and needs partial assistance with hygiene, dressing, and exercising. She manages the night on her own, going to the toilet 2–3 times.

The gentleman (94 years, 78 kg, 170 cm) suffers from dementia and diabetes, for which he self-administers insulin in the evening. He recently experienced a dementia episode and, after several falls, is currently in the hospital. He is expected to return around mid-November after rehabilitation. He used to move with a walker, and it will be necessary to monitor how his condition develops after returning from geriatrics.

The caregiver should assist with hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry. Most shops are within walking distance. Meals are currently ordered, but occasional cooking would be appreciated. The seniors need encouragement to stay active, spending time with them—talking, going for walks, watching TV, or playing board games.

Both seniors are calm, accustomed to assistance, and can manage alone for some time. Night work is not required.

The caregiver is provided with a private room with internet access; the bathroom is shared. Time off is possible by arrangement with the family.
