She also needs help with dressing, using incontinence aids, and care for a urinary catheter, which needs to be flushed daily. A nurse handles the catheter replacement. The caregiver also monitors skin condition, administers medication, and assists with dental prosthesis and hearing aid care.

Supervision is needed during meals due to the risk of choking. The caregiver is responsible for cooking, light cleaning, and shopping. It is advisable to take the client for walks during weekends.

The daily schedule is approximately from 8:00 to 21:00, with the caregiver having time off daily from about 13:00 to 15:30.

The main aspect of care is assistance with intermittent catheterization, which is needed approximately 5–6 times a day. The caregiver performs the catheterization, while the client's partner, who works in urology, will provide thorough training. Additionally, assistance is required with bowel management, showering, dressing, positioning, and transfers. A ceiling lift is used for transfers, along with a sliding sheet. Daily care also includes skin checks and assistance with exercises involving functional electrical stimulation.
The caregiver prepares medications, which the client then checks himself. For meals, food needs to be prepared and cut, but the client can eat independently using an adapted aid. Dinner is prepared approximately three times a week. Household duties for the caregiver include vacuuming and mopping floors twice a week. Other cleaning tasks are handled by a cleaner. Once a week, the caregiver accompanies the client on a shopping trip.
The day starts at approximately 7:00 and ends with the last catheterization around 22:00–22:30. There is ample free time during the day, which the caregiver can organize in agreement with the client. Night care is not required. However, approximately once a month, the client returns home later in the evening during the weekend and needs assistance with getting into bed.

CLIENT 2 – Male, 38 years old, Nieuwegein - we are looking for a caregiver for this client ASAP. Caregiving for a 38-year-old man who lives with his wife and two small children in a family house. The family also has a dog. The gentleman has a spinal cord injury and diabetes mellitus.

Required care: The client spends most of the day in bed (approximately 2 hours daily on an electric wheelchair), with an increased risk of bedsores. Complete personal hygiene, showering 2× a week (electric shower chair), transfers using a ceiling lift, daily skin check and preventive foot care, daily care of a suprapubic catheter and urine bags (catheter replacement and medication are managed by the wife), assistance with an oxygen mask in the morning and evening (the client uses BiPAP and an oxygen concentrator under the supervision of a specialized center), meal preparation considering diabetes, light cleaning, activities with the client. A physiotherapist visits 2× a week.

Schedule: Approximately 5.5 hours of active work, 6.5 hours on-call, and 2 hours of free time daily; night assistance only in emergencies. Cameras are present in shared areas (living room, kitchen).
